Bigg Boss OTT roped in eight brands as the sponsors of the show. It is the first Hindi show to have a digital version. Swiggy and CoinDCX were already the ‘co-powered by’ sponsors when the show roped in Vimal Elaichi, Lotus Herbal, H&M, Durex, Netmeds, and MX Takatak as partners.

Bigg Boss OTT was ‘co-powered by’ food delivery app Swiggy and cryptocurrency exchange platform CoinDCX. The show roped in Vimal Elaichi as the ‘presenting sponsor’. While Lotus Herbals, MX Takatak, H&M, Durex and Netmeds as special partners.

In a statement, Viacom 18 said that the Bigg Boss OTT premiere registered the highest number of subscriber tune-in for a Bigg Boss premiere episode.

The brands of the show hope to engage and collaborate with the digital version of the show through sponsorships. They plan to engage with the viewers through ads, task integrations, special zones and other interactive branding opportunities. 

Vimal Elaichi plans to create ‘Video Vichaar’ that will enable the audience to share their thoughts and opinions about the happenings of the Bigg Boss OTT house.

MX Takatak will be the social media partner to help in the growth of the viewer community on the app. 

Other brands such as Netmeds joined as pharmacy partner, Lotus Herbal as the beauty partner, H&M as the style partner and Durex as the special partner. These brands will strive to increase engagement through various tasks and activities that will actively involve contestants and the audience.

Bigg Boss OTT will be hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar for the first six weeks. The show will then continue on TV on Colors TV channel where actor Salman Khan will take over the hosting.
