Morgan Wallen walked on to the stage on Friday in Ohio without his iconic mullet, surprising his fans.
The country singer’s new haircut created quite a frenzy online since The Voice star had not talked about shaving his head on social media.
Did Morgan Wallen shave his mullet?
Wallen debuted his new look at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Friday on his One Night At A Time world tour. He donned a casual white T-shirt, blue jeans and a bright red hat as he walked out on the stage. No one could see any of his locks poking from underneath his cap.
It became very apparent to all the concert attendees that the the 30-year-old has shaved off his mullet completely and left nothing behind but a bit of short stubble.
Fans of the singer has known him to sport a long brown mullet for as long as they can remember. Wallen used to cut his hair shorter at the front, top and sides, but used to maintain a longer mane in the back. His hairstyle has its own backstory.
As the story goes, he came across a wedding photo in which his dad had a mullet while looking through one of his parents’ photo albums.
“I went back home to my parent’s house for a holiday, and I ended up looking at photo albums, just trying to take a trip down memory lane,” he said. “When they got married, my dad had a mullet. Me and my dad are very similar people. He’s one of my best friends, so I was like, ‘Man, if Dad could do it, I will do it’. I did it, and it just turned into this thing. It’s part of my brand now and it’s just something that I didn’t expect that at all,” he continued.

Wallen said it “wasn’t some plan to come up with a gimmick” and added: “I just wanted to try it; I ended up liking it, and people started liking it.”
