The Simpsons have made a number of uncannily accurate predictions over the years, including the 9/11 catastrophe and Donald Trump’s shocking election to the presidency. The missing Titanic submarine, which has made headlines recently due to five passengers on board the tourist submarine that ran out of oxygen today, is, however, arguably the most unsettling prediction yet.

After the tourist submarine vanished on Sunday while diving into the sunken Titanic shipwreck, there is currently a significant search and rescue operation going on in the middle of the Atlantic.

The passengers’ oxygen supply will run out today at 11 a.m. after contact with the small submarine was lost approximately an hour and 45 minutes into its descent.

There are worries that the Titan submersible, which was diving to examine the Titanic’s debris, may become stuck there. The devastating case has recently stunned millions of people throughout the world, yet it appears that The Simpsons foresaw it back in 2006.

Homer Simpson’s long-lost father Mason Fairbanks, who unearths sea treasures, gives a harrowing speech about their undersea quest before they go on their journey in the iconic episode of the enduring TV series.

“Today I am filled with joy. Searching for treasure with my long-lost son. My dream for each of you is that you find the happiness I feel today,” Fairbanks says.

Then, aboard a lone submarine, Homer and his long-lost father began their undersea adventure in the vast ocean.

The father and son team later discover two crates stuffed to the gills with treasure inside of a crashed boat.

Homer, ecstatic with their discovery, called home to his mates and said: “Hey guys. We found the treasure. When I get to shore, I’m bringing it right to the bar.”

The oxygen-low indicator flashes and Homer falls into unconsciousness, but not before he is caught in the submarine and begins to panic.

The good news for Homer was that at the end of the episode, after spending three days in a coma, he awoke in the hospital surrounded by his wife Marge, and his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.

Many Simpsons fans now think that the creators of the popular program once again foresaw the ongoing search for the missing submarine and its five passengers after the episode appeared again in recent days.

Social media users are shocked by this revelation. Take a look at a few tweets.

Many people now think that The Simpsons foresaw all the main historical events, both good and bad, especially after the Covid pandemic. When a terrible virus arrived in Springfield from Asia, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening and the team foresaw the global coronavirus epidemic 27 years ago.
