Director Rohan Ghose is ready
to give a visual delight to their fans with his new project titled ‘Mukti’.
This ZEE5 Original Bengali series is a patriotic period drama, based in the
early 1930s when Indians struggled for freedom from the tyrannical rule of the
British empire.

Ghose, who has also directed notable projects, ‘Kaali 2’, ‘Mafia’ and
‘Bhalobashar Shohor 1’, says that the show will make people ponder about the
true meaning of ‘Mukti’.
“It is exciting to partner with
a content giant like ZEE5 and put forth a nationalist content piece that can
reach the audience across the world. ‘Mukti’ is a special show which will stay
with viewers long after the end credits and make people ponder about the true
meaning of ‘Mukti’. We have commenced shooting and are looking forward to
delivering a classic series,” he said in a statement.

It is produced by Pritam Choudhury who has worked with eminent
directors like Mira Nair, Aparna Sen, Rituporno Ghosh among others. The film
marks Ritwick Chakraborty and Arjun Chakroborty’s debut on ZEE5 and the return of
Ditipriya Roy to the Zee family after her popular portrayal of Rashmoni in Zee
Bangla’s show, ‘Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni’.
‘Mukti’ also features Sudip
Sarkar and Chitrangda Chakraborty in pivotal roles. The cast and crew have
commenced the shoot and the series will premiere early next year.
