“It was an error in judgment,” Die-Hard actor Bruce Willis said in a statement after he was pictured not wearing a mask in a pharmacy in California on Monday.

The Hollywood actor was photographed walking inside and outside, without wearing a mask, as Page Six reported Willis was asked to leave the pharmacy because of his transgression. The actor was photographed wearing a black jacket, a striped T-shirt, jeans, and a bandana around his neck at the RiteAid store in Los Angeles.

Reportedly, Willis refused to cover his face while entering the store even though the bandana around his neck could have been pulled up over his mouth and nose. The actor was asked to leave the store for not wearing a mask, Page Six reported.

Willis has now issued a statement, given to People, where he said, “It was an error in judgment.” He added, “Be safe out there everyone, and let’s continue to mask up.”

Willis’s statement came after he faced backlash on social media for flouting COVID-19 precautions. The Die Hard actor started trending on Twitter as he was being criticised by users for not wearing a mask in California, which has reported over 2 million cases of coronavirus.

As per the John Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, over 930,000 cases have been registered only in Los Angeles County.
