Warner Bros. and DC Films have lined up a slate of films that are currently in production. With Man of Steel, Warner Bros. formally launched the DC Extended Universe, which was followed by the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and Justice League. It’s evident that Warner Bros. has big ambitions to exploit the DC Comics library for years to come, even if not all of these movies will end up being made.

Let’s look at every upcoming DC movie that is now officially in production:

1. The Sandman TV Series (August 5, 2022)

Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman will finally have a live-action adaptation when the Netflix series premieres on August 5, 2022. It’s an adaptation of the well-known Neil Gaiman graphic novel series where the Sandman is the main character and places are impacted by Morpheus, the Dream King. This is a fascinating fusion of modern myth and dark fantasy in which historical drama, contemporary fiction, and mythology are flawlessly intertwined.

2. Black Adam (October 21, 2022)

 In 2022, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam will finally make its debut. The Justice Society of America, comprised of Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, will also be featured in this film, which has been in the works for years. 

3. Pennyworth Season 3 (Fall 2022)

Season 3 of the television programme Pennyworth, which follows a teenage Alfred Pennyworth before he becomes Bruce Wayne’s devoted butler, will move from Epix to HBO Max. It’s set in the 1960s London where a former British SAS soldier Alfred Pennyworth establishes his own security business and hires it to work for Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s father. The series, which blends psychological drama and spy action, hopes to draw even more viewers to HBO Max.

4. Shazam! Fury of the Gods (December 21, 2022)

Shortly after Shazam!’s 2019 release, rumours of a sequel started to circulate. Director David F. Sandberg, writer Henry Gayden, and Zachary Levi as Shazam, are all returning. The majority of the original cast will return, and Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu will appear as Hespera and Kalypso, respectively.
5. Titans Season 4 (Likely 2022)Titans is a live-action television series that follows the Teen Titans, a squad of youthful superheroes who fight crime from Gotham City to San Francisco. The show’s actor, Brenton Thwaites, confirmed there would be a second season.

6. Doom Patrol Season 4 (Likely 2022)

Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl, and Crazy Jane are part of the Doom Patrol, a reimagining of one of DC’s most adored teams of Super Heroes, who are commanded by contemporary mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief).

 7. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (March 17, 2023)

Aquaman is forced to form a tense alliance with an unlikely ally in order to save Atlantis and the rest of the world from irreparable destruction when an ancient power is unleashed.
