Jeon Mi-do rose to fame for her effortless portrayal of Chae Song-Hwa in the ongoing TV show Hospital Playlist. This medical drama was her first lead role, prior to which she mostly worked in theatre.

Mi-do, a 39-year-old actress was born in Busan. In 2013, she got married to her non-celebrity boyfriend. She has an Instagram account with the username @mido_ring. But she stays away from the comment section as she is afraid of them.

She debuted on the small screen with the drama ‘Mother’. Mi-do played a supporting role on the show. Later that year she was part of the psychological horror film ‘Metamorphosis’.

Unlike her onscreen character Song-hwa who is tone-deaf, Mi-do is a brilliant singer who was part of several musicals and plays since 2006. Her cover of Shin Hyo Beom’s ‘I Knew I Love’ topped the real-time charts.

Mi-do won the Best Actress Award thrice for her performance in musicals such as Once, Maybe Happy Ending and Sweeney Todd. 

She was also nominated for the Best TV Actress at the prestigious 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. She won the Rookie of the Year Award at the 2020 Brand of the Year Awards.

Mi-do auditioned for the role of Jang Gyeo-ul and Song-Hwa. She learnt to play the bass for the TV show Hospital Playlist.

In an interview with The Edit, Mi-do said that she prefers minimalist designs. She also shared that she brushes her teeth first thing in the morning.

In Hospital Playlist she plays the role of Song-hwa, one of the top neurosurgeons in South Korea. She is working at the Yulje Medical Centre along with her four college best friends.
