“Fast and Furious”
franchise will end after the 10th and 11th films, Variety has confirmed. Justin
Lin will return to direct the final two installments after helming ‘Tokyo Drift’,
‘Fast & Furious’, ‘Fast Five’, ‘Fast and Furious 6’ and ‘Fast 9’ of the
franchise.

The latest film in the main “Fast & Furious” series titled
“F9,” was originally supposed to debut earlier this year, but Universal pushed
the project to 2021 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘Fast 9’ will see Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Tyrese
Gibson, along with several actors who’ve played memorable roles in past “Fast
& Furious” films, including Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black, Helen Mirren,
Charlize Theron and Sung Kang.

Actor John Cena will make his “Fast and Furious” debut
as Jakob. He will play the role of a villain who is Dom’s younger brother.
