It has been confirmed that Five Nights at Freddy’s, Blumhouse’s feature take on the popular video game, will feature Matthew Lillard and Josh Hutcherson. 

It is not yet known what characters they will be playing.  Production of the film will begin in New Orleans in February.

A lego movie called ‘The Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie’ was released in 2019.

“Mike Schmidt spends five sinister nights in Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria meanwhile he discovers dark hidden secrets from that place. Little does he know that someone is tracking all his moves and will do anything to keep Mike’s mouth shut,” the plot of that movie reads on IMDB.

Plot 

The plot of Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. It is not known whether Lillard or Hutcherson will play the main protagonist. While on his first night at the job, the main character realizes that the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be as easy as he thought to make it through. He does not spend long on his shift before the animatronic creatures at the Chuck E Cheese-style restaurant come alive and go on a killing spree.

Director

Emma Tammi is directing the film, which is based on the popular game. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop will be working alongside Blumhouse to bring the game’s animatronics to life.

Producer

The film will be produced by Blumhouse in association with Striker Entertainment. The producers are Scott Cawthon and Jason Blum while Russell Binder is an executive producer.
