Actors work so hard to give each character they play life. from being a roadside Romeo to being a doting dad, a lawyer, a doctor, etc. Aside from that, actors ensure that their characters appear realistic, thanks to their conviction and acting prowess. But did you know that a number of actors held a variety of credentials and degrees prior to entering the performing industry? In honour of “Doctors’ Day,” we have put up a list of performers who have medical degrees.

1. Sai Pallavi
Sai Pallavi, a South actress who performs in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films, is a qualified doctor. She graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University with a medical degree in 2016 and was accredited by the Medical Council of India. She entered the film industry due to her love of performing, but her busy schedule prevented her from working as a doctor in India. On August 31, 2020, she also passed the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination).
2. Sree Leela
The talented young actress Sree Leela, who rose to stardom with the Telugu film “Pelli SandaD,” is currently enrolled in her final year of MBBS; she has been acting in films since before she graduated. She is now working on a few Telugu movies, including the bilingual Kannada-Telugu film “Yet to be titled” and “Dhamaka” opposite Ravi Teja.

3. Shivani Rajsekhar
Shivani Rajashekar, who presently works in the Tamil and Telugu cinema industries, shares her father’s medical training. She continued her schooling at Hyderabad’s Apollo Medical College. She is, however, going against her heart and pursuing her passion for acting and filmmaking.
4. Ohmkar
Ohmkar, an Indian Telugu film director and TV host who has created a number of popular TV episodes and movies like the “Raju Gari Gadhi Series,” practises medicine. His undergraduate work was in physiotherapy, but he had a passion for filmmaking.

5. Bharat Reddy
Bharat Reddy, a popular Telugu actor who has starred in a number of blockbuster Telugu movies including “Eenadu,” “Thalaivi,” and others, is a cardiologist by training. He has also served as a junior consultant in the department of cardiology at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad.
