Jung Kyung-ho is a South Korean actor who majored in theatre at Chung-Ang University. His father Jung Eul-young is a veteran TV director and writer.  His roommate actor Ha Jung-woo encouraged Jung Kyung-ho to audition for a major TV network, KBS in 2003. After passing the audition and made his acting debut in a 2004 mobile drama ‘5 stars’.

Jung Kyung-ho rose to fame for his supporting role in the 2004 drama, “I’m Sorry, I Love You’. He and Flower of Evil’s Lee Joon-ki starred in the 2007 drama ‘Time Between Dog and Wolf’. In 2017 Jung Kyung-ho starred in ‘Missing Nine’ and ‘Prison Playbook’.

In early 2014, Jung Kyung-ho confirmed his relationship with Girls’ Generation member Choi Soo-young. The couple got close after attending the same university and church.

According to Soompi talking about Choi Soo-young, he said, “I’ve been dating someone for over eight years so I think that Choi Sooyoung is what has made me who I am. I’ve become a person while doing what Sooyoung tells me to do and not doing what she tells me not to do.”

He further added, “Things like washing my hands before I eat, brushing my teeth before I sleep, not drinking a lot, and wearing neat and attractive clothes. So I have to listen to what my girlfriend says.”

He won the Best New Actor Award at the 15th Chunsa Film Art Awards for the drama ‘Herb’. In 2017 he won the Best Character Award, Comic Character at the MBC Drama Awards for ‘Missing 9’.

He is currently starring in the second season of ‘Hospital Playlist Season 2’ as Kim Jun-wan, an assistant professor of cardiothoracic surgery. The show revolves around five college friends who now work at the same hospital. The show also stars Jo Jung-Seok, Jeon Mi-do, Yoo Yeon-seok, and Kim Dae-Myung in the lead role.

In an interview with Marie Claire Korea talking about his onscreen character Kim Jun-wan, Jung Kyung-ho said, “Some people say, ‘Does he really have to talk like that?’ but Jun-wan always treats his patients, friends, and lovers in the way he thinks is best.”

He further added, “He’s fundamentally a kind person when you look at how sincere he is about friendship and love.”
