Actors Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, who are already parents of three-year-old Taimur, are now expecting their second child. In an interview with Anupama Chopra’s Film Companion the “Jab We Met” actor revealed that her family are very excited about her pregnancy but were worried too given the pandemic situation.
She said that her husband, Saif, is the most worried one and she is doing everything to stay safe in the situation. “I am taking each day as it comes,” she said.
Comparing her first pregnancy with the second one, Kareena said, “Last time, I just took myself for granted and became huge. I put on 25 kilograms. I don’t want to do that. I just want to be healthy and fit. I think the first time, it’s just excitement.”
She added that she took advice from everyone who asked her to eat food like paratha, ghee or milk. “Now, I’m like listen I have done it before, I know what my body requires. My doctor’s like ‘listen you are not eating for two, that is just a myth. Just be healthy and be safe.’ And that is what I am trying to do,” the actor, who is going to turn 40 on September 21, said.
Talking about her son Taimur’s reaction to her pregnancy, she said, “He is figuring out things. He is very ahead of his age. We never treated him like a kid. We treated him like an equal and adult. He is a giving boy and that he is ready.”
However, Kareena is not letting her pregnancy or the pandemic affect her work. She said that she is trying to complete her upcoming film “Laal Singh Chaddha” which has 12 to 15 days of shoot left.
