Irrfan Khan died on April 29, 2020, just a month after the premiere of his blockbuster film ‘Angrezi Medium.’ On the second anniversary of the actor’s death, one of his unreleased films, ‘Apno Se Bewafai,’ was set to be released.

Piyush Shah, who is affiliated with the film, explained to Times Now why ‘Apno Se Bewafai’ couldn’t be released on April 29. “We want the audience to see this film which is a total family entertainer, but there were three releases this week.”

The CBFC certified ‘Apno Se Bewafai’ in 2019 and the filmmakers were ready to distribute it when the pandemic struck. The post-production portion of the family entertainer ‘Apno Se Bewafai’ had been completed for almost twenty-four months.

Prakash Bhalekar, the film’s director, verified the news and stated that it will be released in theatres soon.

“We wanted to ‘Apno Se Bewafai’ in around April 2020, which was just after ‘Angrezi Medium’ but the lockdown happened and our film’s release had to be postponed.”
