Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news of her new film “Jee Le Zara”. The motion picture shared by Katrina features her along with Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
The film was announced by actor-director Farhan Akhtar on the 20th anniversary of his production company Excel Entertainment.
We’ve seen trios of men go on road trips very often in Bollywood films. From Dil Chahta Hai to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, we’ve enjoyed every bit of it. However, the audience had forever wanted to see a trio of women go on a road trip, and Excel entertainment made that happen and how! The announcement comes as Farhan Akhtar’s iconic Dil Chahta Hai also completed 20 years of its release. The film, titled ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, will be directed by Farhan Akhtar.
The actor shared the news on social media and wrote ,”Farhan shared the news on his Instagram account. He wrote, “Thrilled to announce my next film as director and what better day than 20 years of Dil Chahta Hai to do it. #JeeLeZaraa with @priyankachopra @katrinakaif @aliaabhatt will commence filming in 2022 and I cannot wait to get this show on the road.”
‘Jee Le Zaraa’ is written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Reema Kagt and is slated to release in 2023 under Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s production.
The film marks Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif’s first collaboration with Priyanka Chopra Jonas. It further brings Farhan Akhtar back on the director’s seat after his last directorial project Don 2, where he worked with Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Katrina Kaif is currently working on Phone Bhoot with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi, and has Tiger 3 with Salman Khan lined up for later.
