Actor Sophie Turner in an Instagram post on Wednesday announced that she and Joe Jonas are ending their marriage amicably.

“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” Turner said in an Instagram post.

The couple has been together since 2016. They have two daughters. The duo’s eldest daughter, Willa, is three years old.

Jonas and Turner gave birth to one more girl in 2022. However, the one-year-old’s name has been a mystery since.

As per court documents obtained by Page Six, their divorce filing has the second daughter’s initials – DJ.

The 34-year-old Jonas Brothers member filed for divorce from his wife of 4 years, Turner on Tuesday. The filing did not come as a “surprise” to the people close to them as they spent “the whole summer apart,” a source told People Magazine “They were not separated but they’ve been living separate lives for months.”

Jonas had retained a divorce lawyer but he continues to wear his wedding band. The source said that the couple “haven’t gotten along in a while, but they’re hoping to resolve this all amicably.”

“As far as custody goes, this literally all just happened, so they’re figuring it out in real time,” the source said. “They did have a prenup. As a family, they were based in Florida. The kids were with him the last few months, traveling with him with family while he’s been on tour. Sophie’s been working in the UK.”

The divorce filing claimed, “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” Jonas and Turner have an ironclad prenup in place so dividing up assets should be easy.
