Julián Figueroa, the 27-year-old son of actress Maribel Guardia and late Mexican music icon Joan Sebastian, died on Sunday. He was found unconscious in his room while his mother was at the theater, his mother said in a statement on Monday. The medical report indicates that he died of myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation with no evidence of any violence.

He was married to Imelda Garza Tuñón in 2017 and had a son José Julian. Figueroa’s family is one of the most influential and respected in the Mexican music industry.

His father, Joan Sebastian, was a legendary singer-songwriter who won multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy awards. His mother, Maribel Guardia, is a famous actress, model and singer who has starred in numerous telenovelas and films.

Figueroa’s wife is Imelda Tuñón, a former model and journalist. They met in 2016, when Imelda interviewed Julián for a magazine. They fell in love and got married in 2018, in a private ceremony in Acapulco. They have a son named José Julián, who was born in 2019.  Figueroa and his wife are very happy and supportive of each other’s careers.

His brother, José Manuel Figueroa, is also a successful singer and composer. Julián inherited his parents’ talent and passion for music and has been pursuing a career as a singer since he was a child. He is also known for his participation in reality shows such as Bailando por un sueño and La Voz México.
