Her career as an actress got its start in the early 1960s when she made prominent guest appearances on TV shows like “The Defenders,” “Route 66,” and “Ben Casey.” But her breakthrough performance as Angelique was what made her a household name. The program became a cult favorite, and Parker’s portrayal of the spiteful witch won praise from critics.

Parker carried on making an impression on film and television after “Dark Shadows” ended in 1971. In addition to landing recurrent roles in television shows like “Kung Fu,” “Columbo,” and “The Incredible Hulk,” she also had major film roles in films like “The Witches of Eastwick” (1987) and “The Eyes of Laura Mars” (1978).
