A Kashmir journalist has alleged that the makers of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Shershaah’ used his registered car number plate in the film, putting the film in trouble. Faraz Ashraf shared on twitter that his life is in danger ever since the license plate of his car was used in the film to depict the car driven by militants. He further added this poses security risks for him and his family.

Faraz shared photographs of his car and the one used in the film with the same number plate, tweeting,”It is a threat to me and my family. I cannot travel in the car as feel safety concerns now due to the move. I have not given any permission to any production house to use the regd no. of my car.”

“I now decided to fight against the @DharmaMovies @DharmaTwoPointO to stop the broadcast of movie in entire country. As they have copied my car regd no. and used in the movie. I am filing a case against the production house,” he added.

Shershaah is inspired by the life of Kargil martyr Captain Vikram Batra (PVC). Directed by Vishnu Varadhan, the film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani.

Actor Sidharth Malhotra can be seen in the double role of Captain Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal Batra, while Kiara Advani plays the role of his fiancee Dimple Cheema

Captain Vikram Batra dedicated his life to the nation. During the Kargil War in 1990, he laid down his life while beating Pakistani terrorists on his quest to recapture India territories. He was given the title of Shershaah due to his relentless efforts and courage like that of a lion.
