Lil Tay, whose real name is Tay Tian, addressed allegations she made against her father in an Instagram Live session. She began the session by performing music but later went on to discuss the accusations she had leveled against her father and his partner.

Attorneys representing Tian’s mother claimed they had successfully obtained court orders to assist Tian in advancing her career. They alleged that Tian’s father owed $275,000 in back child support and monthly support payments. They also argued that Tian’s mother should be the sole parent authorized to sign contracts on behalf of the performer.

Tian’s father, Hope, has denied his daughter’s claims.

On September 28, it was announced that Tian is now in control of her own social media accounts. Her management clarified that the recent posts from her accounts were indeed her doing and that she is ready to pursue her career on her terms.
