Maestro and Rapper Kanye West‘s move of inviting singer Marilyn Manson and Dababy on stage during his second Donda listening event held at Chicago Soldier field has triggered a massive backlash on social media. Internet users, especially West fans are upset that the singer shared the stage with Marilyn Manson, who is an accused rapist, and Dababy, a homophobe.

For the unversed, a number of women, including actress Evan Rachel Wood and Game of Thrones star Esme Blanco, have accused Marilyn Manson of sexual assault and/or abuse.
In February of this year, Wood, who was once engaged to Manson and also was groomed by him wrote on Instagram, “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”
Manson is currently facing four sexual assault allegations.
Dababy on the other hand made a homophobic comment during one of his concerts in July. He told audience members to put their phone lights in the air – unless they were HIV-positive or were gay men who performed sex acts in car parks.
After the statement, Dababy was dropped from many concerts and was widely criticised on social media.
About the Donda concert, the song is a homage to 22-time Grammy award winner’s mother Donda West, who succumbed to complications post plastic surgery in 2007 at 58.
The concert was held amid COVID protocols and vaccines were also offered in the venue for those who wanted to get vaccinated.
