Actor Meghana Raj has turned 31 today. This is her  first birthday after the demise of her late actor-husband Chiranjeevi Sarja who died of cardiac arrest on June 7, 2020. The actor, who is also a mother of six-month-old Jr Chiru, is also known for her powerful performances onscreen and her strong filmography is a testimony of that.

Let’s take a look at some of her notable performances

– In ‘Punda’,  Meghana played the female lead. The film was a remake of the 2007 Tamil film ‘Polladhavan’. This was her first Kannada film.

– ‘Beautiful’ is a 2011 Malayalam film written by Anoop Menon and directed by V. K. Prakash. In this musical film, Meghana starred alongside Jayasurya and Anoop Menon and got nominations in Filmfare Awards in the Best Supporting Actress category for her work in the film.

– With ‘Iruvudellava Bittu’, the actor won her first Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress. She played the role of Poorvi, an ambitious girl who goes through many ups and downs in her personal life due to differences in ideologies. The film was released in 2018

– In Muniratna’s film ‘Kurukshetra’ , Meghana starred opposite Darshan in the role of Bhanumathi. Kurukshetra was a massive hit and entered the Rs-100 crore club within a month, setting a new record in Sandalwood. Sonu sood was also the part of this film.
