American singer Nick Jonas on Thursday has officially released his latest track ‘This is Heaven’ from his upcoming album ‘Spaceman‘. The song follows the album’s title track, which was released earlier this month. Nick debuted ‘This is Heaven’ on Saturday Night Live, where he performed both as a musical guest and host of the show.
Taking to Instagram, Nick wrote, “So happy this song is finally yours!”
On being asked about his decision to release the songs in this way during a conversation with Apple Music, Nick said, “It felt like it is perfect to start the release of album with title song ‘Spaceman’ as it is such ‘a stark visual and creative idea’ to then initiate conversations around songs like ‘This is Heaven’. I am really excited about the song.”
Earlier, Nick revealed the inspiration behind the album ‘Spaceman’ when he told Apple Music that the songs of his upcoming album ‘Spaceman’ are based on love letters that he wrote for his wife and actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
“Most of the songs are inspired by the love letters for written by me for Priyanka. And I’m grateful to make this as it make my wife happy, which is the most important deal for me,” said Nick.
Spaceman, which marks Nick’s first solo album since ‘Last Year was Complicated’, will arrive on March 12.
