Noah Schnapp, best known for playing Will Byres in the Netflix TV series Strangers Things, revealed on Thursday that he is gay.

The 18-year-old posted a TikTok video with the following caption: “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know’”.

Noah Schnapp and his sister Chloe Schnapp were born to Karine and Mitchell Schnapp in New York, on October 3, 2003. As per the information available online, Mitchell is of Russian descent while Karine is Moroccan. The duo raised Noah and Chloe in Scarsdale, on the outskirts of New York. They hold dual citizenship in USA as well as Canada

According to publicly available information, Mitchell Schnapp is a private equity manager. His parents were Donna Wexler and David Schnapp and he grew up in Montreal, Canada. He also has a sister named Justine Schnapp.

Karine Schnapp, on the other hand, is a businesswoman. She was known as Karine Perez before her marriage to Noah. She currently serves as the vice president of marketing for the cosmetic brand Hugo Boss. Reports say that Karine and Noah are very close and she played an instrumental role in building his acting career.

His twin sister, Chloe Schnapp, became famous as Noah’s fame grew after Stranger Things became a hit. She currently has close to 2 million followers on social media. 

Apart from the Strangers Things series, Noah Schnapp also played Roger Donovan in Steven Spielberg’s movie Bridge of Spies.
