Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was the youngest captain of the Indian cricket team, and Sharmila Tagore was the glamorous star of Bollywood and when they two met for the first time in 1965, it was love at first sight.

They both tied the knot in 1969. However, Sharmila Tagore had put forward a condition to marry the love of her life and it was more to do with his performance on the ground. According to reports, she asked her future husband to hit a hat-trick of sixes in a match to which the legendary cricketer had agreed. What we know after that is a beautiful love story.
The senior actor, in one of her interviews, also said that she is grateful for everything that went smoothly in her life.
“Anything could have gone wrong. But it didn’t. My children grew up to be self-sufficient. All three are successful in their work,” she said.

The couple has three children together, Saif Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khan, and Saba Ali Khan.
