Ozark fans have been anticipating 2022 with great excitement, and the final season of the show, Season 4’s Part 1, will finally be available on Netflix on January 21. Given that the Season 3 finale ended on an explosive note, the Jason Bateman starrer is likely to start the next season on a high note. While only the first half of the season finale will be aired this week, audiences have been holding out hope for a taste of it since the show’s new trailer was released.

Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney) are seen at Navarro’s house after Helen’s death in the Season 4 trailer. The new teaser also teases some intriguing twists, such as Navarro (Felix Solis) telling Marty, “Your greatest threat will always come from within.” Along with Sofia Hublitz and Skylar Gaertner, Bateman and Linney will return in Season 4’s explosive Part 1.

Where is Ozark set in?

‘Ozark’ is set in Missouri, but the majority of the scenes have been shot in Georgia since the first season. According to Netflix, the last season ended with the crew doubling down on risky decisions “to expand their empire in the next chapter of the thrilling crime drama series.”

Ozark is one of 234 television and film productions that contributed to Georgia’s economy during the fiscal year 2020.

During the production of Season 3, more than 1,000 Georgians were hired, primarily as crew members and some cast members, as well as thousands of extras and security personnel. More than 3,200 nights in hotel rooms were accumulated. According to Georgia Film, the company also used stage space in Georgia in addition to on-location filming.

Other direct economic impacts on the local economy included lodging, craft services, car and equipment rentals, and wardrobe, hair, and makeup talent.

A Reddit user shared a photo of Bateman dressed as Marty Byrde and conversing with a blonde woman (likely Linney). The image was published at the end of June 2021. The photo was taken in Atlanta, the crew’s usual filming location, by the user who posted it.

“Filming Ozark outside by STK where I’m eating dinner in Atlanta,” the Reddit user wrote.

“Georgia is a big filming location now because there are no unions,” a Reddit user noted. “The majority of the show is shot within a few hours of Atlanta.”

Another fan commented on how they make the show look like it’s set in the Ozarks. “They send out a crew once a season to the Ozarks to film aerial shots of the lakes, and everything with actors is shot in Georgia,” the fan explained. “It’s how they make us think it’s all in Missouri.”
