After Sushant Singh Rajput, Instagram has memorialised late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan’s account. The social media platform has added the ‘Remembering’ tag to the account of the actor who died on April 29 due to a colon infection.

As per Instagram’s policy, accounts that get memorialised become “places to remember someone’s life” after their death. According to news agency ANI, “Once Instagram memorialises an account, nobody is allowed to log in to the account and the term ‘remembering’ gets added next to the name of the deceased person in the profile.”

The Lunchbox actor was diagnosed with neuro-endocrine tumor in 2018 and had been battling that before he died at 53 this year. He is survived by his wife Sutapa Sikdar and son Babil who keep him alive through their social media accounts by sharing memories of the actor.

Recently, Sutapa posted a beautiful note for him on Facebook. “In our little farm missing you and playing Chinese whisper as I whisper to a lily ‘make me feel or you let my feelings flee’ trying to remember she whispers to the bee ‘feel me and send the feelings back to me’,” the first few lines of the note reads.

Sharing a post after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Irrfan’s son Babil wrote, “”It’s still not settling in. We’ve lost two very sincere people and sincerity is key in our spiritual journey”. He shared two photos in the Instagram post– one of Irrfan and the another of Sushant.

Irrfan Khan is remembered for his unmatched acting skills as well as for being a genuinely good person. His notable works include Life of Pi, Lunchbox, Maqbool, Paan Singh Tomar among others.
