Actor Rochelle Rao is all set to get back to television with The Kapil Sharma Show once again, beginning this weekend, after having been done with a web series lately. 

Rochelle had once been Miss India International and gone on to create a niche for herself as a sports anchor, model, and comic actor across various genres and mediums. Her last stint was with The Kapil Sharma Show. Although she wasn’t seen in the show’s last season, due to popular demand and the love for her character among the audience, she is being brought back for the new season, media reports stated.

“Yes I am returning back to comedy which is a space I love.  Making people laugh isn’t easy but I love it and the show feels like I’m returning back to family. I also feel that getting a chance to put a smile onto people’s faces during these unsure times is something I am definitely looking forward to, because eventually happy moments and a good laugh is what we all need right now!” ABP quoted Rochelle as saying.

Rochelle played the role of Lottery in The Kapil Sharma Show. Lottery was Dr Mashoor Gulati’s assistant in season 2 of the show. Her character of a nurse did not know how to speak Hindi and was loved by the audience. She also played Kiku Sharda’s Bumper’s sister.

The first teaser of the show was recently released revealing Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar as the guests. In the teaser, Kapil can be heard saying, “pehle episode me grand bohni karwa di aapne.” Sharing the teaser, the stand-up comedian wrote, “Coming on 21st August”.

Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda and Sumona Chakravarti are also making a comeback on the show. Comedians Sudesh Lehri and Gaurav Gera have been roped in too.
