The latest season of 'Saturday Night Live' is set to air on October 3
'Saturday Night Live' and NBC on Thursday, gave fans a sneak peak of actor Jim Carrey as Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for their 46th season premiere through a promo released on social media.
In the promo, Carrey features alongside actor Maya Rudolph, who plays California Senator and Biden's running mate Kamala Harris. They could be seen putting on hair, makeup and costumes before smiling and staring at the camera.
This will be the first time Carrey will play the former vice-president while Rudolph debuted as Harris last year and earned good reviews from the vice-presidential candidate herself. Alec Baldwin is also expected to continue playing US President Donald Trump.
Carrey will be the third person to play Biden on SNL. Previously, actor Woody Harrelson and former cast-member Jason Sudeikis had portrayed him in season 45.
The latest season of 'Saturday Night Live' is set to air on October 3. While comedian and actor Chris Rock is set to host the season premiere, Megan Thee Stallion is set to appear as the musical guest.
