Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson married her fiancé and ‘SNL’ star Colin Jost in a private ceremony this weekend. The wedding announcement was made by Meals on Wheels, a US-based charity for elderly people.

Meals on Wheels on social media said Johansson and Jost tied the knot “in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones” and added that it was the couple’s “wedding wish” to call attention to the charity.

The charity said that the couple got married following all “COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC.”

The charity said Johansson and Jost support the organisation’s work with vulnerable people during the coronavirus pandemic. Asking fans to donate to the charity, they in a post on Instagram wrote, “Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time.”

Johansson and Jost, a writer and comedian on the sketch show Saturday Night Live, got engaged in May 2019. They started dating in 2017.

While this is Jost’s first marriage, Johansson, one of the highest-paid female actor in the world, has been married twice, to actor Ryan Reynolds and French businessman Romain Dauriac. Johansson and Dauriac have a daughter.
