Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja welcomed a baby boy, their firstborn, on Saturday. Sonam made the announcement on Instagram.
“On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It’s only the beginning but we know our lives are forever changed. – Sonam and Anand,” she wrote.

After Sonam and Anand made their official announcement, Anil Kapoor sent a heartfelt message on behalf of the entire Ahuja-Kapoor family.
“We are delighted to announce, on the 20th of August 2012, the arrival of the newest member of our family. Sonam and Anand have been blessed with a healthy baby day and we couldn’t be more elated. Our hearts are bursting with pride and love for the new parents and their beautiful angel. Doting grandparents Harish & Priya, Anil & Sunita. Excited aunties and uncles Rhea & Karan, Anant & Harshvardhan,” the post read.
Actor Neetu Singh and producer Farah Khan both expressed their congratulations to the new parents and grandparents, Anil and Sunita Kapoor. Anil and Neetu recently co-starred in Jug Jugg Jeeyo. It also featured key performances by Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Maniesh Paul.

Sonam and Anand Ahuja married on May 8, 2018, in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony.
The couple announced their pregnancy in March with a heartfelt Instagram post. “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you.”

Sonam will next be seen in the upcoming film Blind, directed by Shome Makhija and starring Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey. The film is set to be released later this year.
