Sonia Pizarro, star of the reality TV show Operation Repo has died, TMZ reported on Thursday. She was 60 years old.

Her niece, Lyndah Pizarro told TMZ that Sonia died on Wednesday night in Arizona in her sleep.

The 60-year-old’s ex-husband Froylan Tercero, who also starred in Operation Repo, said: “She will always have a place in my heart and on my body since I still have her name tattooed on my stomach, Sonia we love you and I will honor you with all the good mementos you have me, thank you and I love you.”

Pizarro is survived by her children Ruby, Robert and Froylan Jr, and grandchildren – Bryant, Brie and Danica.

Sonia and her family members appeared on the TruTV series Operation Rep and soon rose to fame. Sonia then went on to act in several movies, including Repo Chick. In 2016, she appeared in the spin-off titled Operation Repo: Lou’s Revenge. Two years later, she appeared in the film titled Followed.

The same year, Sonia suffered a stroke which left her unable to speak. It also limited her basic motor functions.

In 2019, Tercero shared a photo with Sonia on Facebook and gave an update on her health.

“Thank you everyone for keeping Sonia in your prayers, she’s doing so much better and in no time she’ll be back to being the pain in the butt she’s always been, she sends her love,” he captioned the photo.

Following her death on Wednesday, several people took to social media to offer condolences.
