Succession‘s final episode airs on Sunday. One major question fans are asking is ‘Who will be Logan’s successor’.

Logan Roy’s death has left a vacuum in top leadership at Waystar Royco. The penultimate episode took place at his funeral. Peter Friedman, who plays Frank Vernon, revealed his personal pick. Friedman responded that he personally believes none of the Roy children are qualified for the position when asked about his choice for Logan’s successor.

“I’m so enamored by what Alexander Skarsgård is doing,” Friedman later told The Guardian.

“His acting is so beautiful — blithe and confident yet anxious — I’d go for him. As a viewer I’d say: ‘These kids aren’t up to it.’ I think Frank wishes Kendall would quit and become a musician somewhere. Please, get out of here and go live a peaceful life! He just wants to see them happy, which probably isn’t going to happen.”

As the fourth and final season finale draws near, fan curiosity about who is going to be picked to lead the firm has reached an all-time high. Now, as the show’s title looks to finally achieve its promise,  internet users offer their own theories. After reading those theories, Friedman claims that some of the fan speculations are probable.

“I sometimes look at Reddit and, let me tell you, people are on the right track. The darts are all over the board but they’ve been narrowing it down to what’s actually going to happen,” he told Guardian.

Friedman discloses the extraordinary measures required to keep narrative details under wraps with regard to the secrecy surrounding Succession. Nothing leaked despite sequences with a lot of extras, like Logan‘s burial and Connor’s wedding.

He stated, “They did indeed print up a bunch of decoys to put people off. I even kept his death secret from my wife until I inadvertently mentioned something funny that happened in Norway. She said: “Wait, is Logan dead?” When Harriet Walter [who plays Logan’s ex-wife Lady Caroline] came in for the funeral episode, she saw all the black clothes and said: “Who died?” It had even been kept secret from her.”
