Supreme Court has reserved order on transfer of Rhea Chakraborty’s plea in connection to the FIR filed by late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh. He had filed an abetment to suicide case against Rhea in Patna.

Rhea had filed a petition in the apex court stating that she fears that she would be unable to get a fair and just trial, if Bihar Police investigates the matter. Shyam Divan, Rhea’s lawyer urged SC to transfer the case to Mumbai Police.

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 at his residence in Mumbai.

Rhea Chakraborty told Supreme Court that the FIR lodged by KK Singh has no connection with any offense in Patna.

She added that there might be a considerable amount of state interference and influence if the case will be handled by Bihar Police.

Maninder Singh, Former ASG appearing for Bihar Govt, told the Supreme Court, “The Maharashtra police have not co-operated with Bihar police in the case.”

The first hearing regarding the plea was held on August 5. After the first hearing, the parties were asked to file their replies within 3 days and now we expect to hear the court’s verdict on the same in three days.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday began a fresh round of questioning of actor Rhea Chakraborty and her family members in connection with its probe in a money laundering case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rhea also approached the Supreme Court with a fresh plea, alleging media trial and attempts to pronounce her guilty for the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
