Season 3 of ‘The Boys‘, a series based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, was released on Prime Video on June 3, 2022, marking the show’s return more than a year after Season 2 was released.

The grisly series follows the titular heroes as they try to bring down The Seven, an elite team of superhumans controlled by Vought.

Season 3 of ‘The Boys’ will introduce a slew of new Supers in The Seven, which had remained pretty much static over the past two seasons.

This season, Starlight will have a bigger role within the team, and Queen Maeve is still around after aiding Homelander. After a forced retirement, A-Train will also be returning.

Black Noir was last seen in a coma, The Deep was denied reinstatement, and Stormfront perished after her Nazi heritage was uncovered.

With a vacuum in The Seven, Season 3 has introduced several new heroes, some of whom are based on the comics, while others are entirely new creations.

Here’s a rundown of every new superhero introduced in Season 3 and their superpowers:

Soldier Boy

Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles of ‘Supernatural’ fame, will appear in Season 3 of ‘The Boys’. Soldier Boy was a hero during WWII, who Vought resurrected decades later to revive a symbol of American patriotism. The character is the leader of another superteam in this universe, Payback.

Soldier Boy’s abilities are fairly typical for Supers, as he possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, and so on. He is also a skilled fighter who protects himself with an eagle-marked shield. Soldier Boy was described in Season 2 of ‘The Boys’ as the original Super made with Compound-V, so the show has already hinted at his appearance.

Crimson Countess

Crimson Countess, played by Laurie Holden, will be the next Super to be introduced in Season 3. In the comics, she is a member of Payback, which suggests that she has worked with Soldier Boy. She possesses heat-related abilities. The original Crimson Countess died on her first assignment, but Vought resurrected the mantle years later.

Other easter eggs related to her presence in the Vought Cinematic Universe have also been discovered. If she indeed confronts the titular Boys in the show, the comics suggest she will meet her end at the hands of Billy Butcher.

Drummer Boy

Another character from the comics, Drummer Boy, will be introduced as Supersonic in Season 3. Drummer Boy will be played by Miles Gaston Villanueva. In the comics, Drummer Boy was the co-leader of the Young Americans with Starlight, and the two had a romantic relationship. Drummer was caught cheating with Young American’s Holy Mary, and they broke up. There’s a good chance that the two will revive their romance this season.

Drummer Boy didn’t have any powers in the comics, but owing to Vought, the show could grant him new ones, such as superspeed.

Gunpowder

Gunpowder is a member of Teenage Kix, an NRA-sponsored superteam. Because his abilities are linked to projectiles and weapons, ‘The Boys’ have previously showed him as a Second Amendment advocate.

Gunpowder will be played by Sean Patrick Flanery. In Season 1, he made a brief appearance.

Blue Hawk

This season’s new creation is Blue Hawk, played by Nick Wechsler.

Ground Hawk, a Wolverine parody character with hammers for hands and a blue helmet in the comics, could be The Boys’ take on Blue Hawk. The debut of Blue Hawk could lead to the emergence of the G-Men, which could pave the way for a college spinoff series of ‘The Boys’.

Moonshadow

Moon Shadow is a San Diego-based character played by Cameron Coleman. Her superhuman abilities have yet to be disclosed.

Having lost Stormfront, it is possible that Season 3 will see Vought approach Moonshadow with an offer to join The Seven.

Billy Butcher

Billy Butcher isn’t exactly a Super, but in Season 3 of ‘The Boys’, he is given Supe skills. Butcher is shown obtaining a variation of Compound V from Queen Maeve in the most recent trailer. Butcher is also shown using Compound V, which gives him laser eyes, much like his nemesis Homelander.
