Emma Watson of ‘Harry Potter’ fame took to Twitter to deny engagement rumours that have been doing the rounds on social media since Monday. Watson posted that those writing on her supposed engagement and on her career being dormant are just huting for ‘clicks’.

She said, “(these) are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue”.

She dismissed all the engagement rumpus as false, assuring her fans that, “If I have news – I promise I’ll share it with you”.

She tweeted, “In the meantime please assume no news from me just means I’m quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are – failing to make sourdough bread (!), caring for my loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people”.

Having been in the limelight throughout her life, she has received a sizable social media attention yet she rarely posts about her personal life. Her social media feed is instead about social messages and raising awareness.

Watson is currently in a relationship with California businessman Leo Robinton, reported ELLE magazine. In November of 2019, in an interview with British Vogue, the UK national admitted that she never considers herself as ‘single’ but ‘self-partnering’.
