Popstar Jennifer Lopez and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck made their relationship at Venice Film Festival after the couple was spotted sharing plenty of kisses and hugs for the cameras on Friday night on the red carpet for the premiere of Affleck’s “The Last Duel.”
Earlier in May, Lopez celebrated her 52nd birthday, posting a slideshow of pictures of herself in a bikini, while seemingly celebrating her special day on a yacht. But one of those photographs was of her kissing Affleck on the yacht.

However, Lopez and Affleck’s rekindled relationship goes way back, so let’s take a look down the memory lane at how they went from being co-stars to falling in love.
December 2001: Lopez and the Batman actor first met on the set of the film “Gigli,” in which they co-starred. The film, directed by Martin Brest, is a story of two crooks and the subsequent relationship they share. However, the film tanked at the box office and didn’t garner any rave reviews either.
July 2002: Nineteen years ago, almost like deja vu, it was Lopez’s birthday that year the couple was first seen kissing at her party. However, they maintained the ‘just friends’ status for the public.

The revelation came at a time when Jennifer had just filed for divorce from former husband Cris Judd.
November 2002: Ben Affleck featured on the J.Lo music video of the song “Jennifer from the block”. In the iconic video, the couple can be seen sharing a steamy moment. The video premiered on MTV’s Total Request Live.
Later in the month, Jennifer admitted in an ABC interview that Affleck proposed to her at his mother’s house in Boston. The news sent fans of Bennifer, as the couple was dubbed in public, in frenzy.
However, given the tabloids’ obsession with their relationship, the duo suffered consequences.

September 2003: Just a day ahead of the marriage, the coup announced in a joint statement that they decided to postpone the date owing to excessive media attention surrounding it.
January 2004: Following the postponement of their marriage, rumours started to brew that their relationship was going through a low phase. In a statement to the Associated Press, Lopez officially ended their relationship without giving much reasoning.
June 2004: Lopez married Marc Anthony, a previous lover. In 1999, the two collaborated on the song “No Me Ames” and dated for a time.
October 2004: While J.Lo was married to Anthony, Affleck was seen in public with Jennifer Garner, whom he met at the sets of Pearl Harbor in 2000.
June 2005: Less than a year after being spotted together, Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005, and they became parents to three children.
2005-2018: Lopez separated in 2011 and their divorce was finalized in 2014. Following which she started dating former Yankees player Alex Rodriguez in 2017. Meanwhile, Affleck and Garner parted ways in 2018
March 2019: Lopez got engaged to Rodriguez flaunting her huge engagement ring on social media.
November 2019: The “Gone Girl” actor and Ana de Armas met on the sets of a film, “Deep Water”. Shortly after, they started dating.
April 2021: Lopez and Rodriguez released a public statement announcing their split and said, “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so.”
May 2021: Sending the social media into a frenzy, Bennifer were spotted spending their first week in Montana together on vacation. Later that month, the duo was seen spending time together in Miami, reigniting their romance.
June 2021: On her 52nd birthday, J.Lo decided to give the fans of the couple a gift as she posted a photograph of them kissing at Nobu, making it Instagram official.
