The Tony Awards are back on stage after a two-year halt on Sunday. The best in American theatre and drama are being celebrated at the Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, New York.
Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose, known for her role in ‘West Side Story’, is hosting the star-studded award ceremony. Even though there is fierce competition blended with glamour, some musicals and shows have dominated the nominee list.

‘MJ: The Musical’ and ‘Paradise Square’ each scored ten nominations for the Tony Awards, and were not far behind ‘The Strange Loop’. The musical, written by Michael R. Jackson, won big on Sunday night.
‘The Strange Loop’ secured 11 nominations, the most for any musical at the 2022 Tony Awards. It has also won key awards like Best Musical and Best Book for a Musical.
