Actor Sophie Turner has kept an emotional piece of furniture at her home– the throne that her character Sansa Stark sat on after she was made the Queen of Winterfell, at the end of ‘Game of Thrones’.

“Welcome home”, Sophie wrote as she took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of the royal seat. It now has found a place for itself at her house, reported news agency PTI.

Towards the end of the critically acclaimed series, the 24-year-old’s character, Sansa Stark became the queen of her province, the northern state of Winterfell, and was hailed as the ‘Queen in the North’.

Her husband, singer Joe Jonas also shared the same picture on his Instagram Story, along with a funny GIF of his wife and wrote, “And that’s the tea”.

According to Entertainment Weekly, who was quoted by PTI, the actor who joined the series when she was 13, does not have any plan of reprising the role. However, it will always have a special place in her heart.

Towards the end of the series in 2019, she penned an emotional note for Sansa. “Sansa, Thank you for teaching me resilience, bravery and what true strength really is. Thank you for teaching me to be kind and patient and to lead with love. I grew up with you. I fell in love with you at 13 and now 10 years on.. at 23 I leave you behind. But I will never leave behind what you’ve taught me,” she wrote on Instagram.

The love she has for ‘Game of Thrones’ has often come out through her actions in real life. From getting a matching tattoo of the date she joined the show with her co-star Maisie Williams, to getting a direwolf to remember the 10 years she spent at the show– Sophie has done it all.
