South Indian actors Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu, famously known for their work in Tamil and Telugu cinema, recently met and the pictures of these long-time pals have sent their fans into a nostalgic meltdown.

The photos of the two superstars were posted by Mohan Babu’s son Vishnu Manchu on Twitter. Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu can be seen twinning in white kurtas and sharing smiles. Vishnu Manchu, donning a white t-shirt, also joined the duo in one of the “goofy” pics.

“The OGs. Original Gangsters! Rajinikanth, Mohan Babu and then goofy Vishnu Manchu,” he captioned his gold post.

Their fans were pleased to see the actors in one frame and had their reactions ready in the comment section.

“Mohan Babu dearest friend of Thalaivar from the 70s,” a user wrote.

“Is there a plan of making movie with these 2 gangsters?” another asked.

Mohan Babu’s daughter Lakshmi Manchu also shared a picture from the photoshoot on her Instagram account and wrote a long emotional note about his father and Rajinikanth’s friendship.

“Looking at these two gives me such hope for continued friendship no matter what they’ve been through. From sharing one by two teas, to spending time in car sheds and coming from super humble backgrounds. Today they are super stars in their own right but still find time to be with each other, talk to each other, support each other, calling each other when they know one of them is going through some tough time,” she wrote in the caption.

“It was so cute when they took off for a walk together because we were all hovering over them and only God knows what they spoke. But I bless this friendship and I hope I can find something pure, deep and connected like uncle and my dad,” she added.

The get-together happened as Rajinikanth was recently in Hyderabad for the filming of his upcoming action-drama ‘Annaatthe’.

The superstar friends have worked together in several films, including ‘Pedarayudu’ and ‘Annai Oru’ during the peak of their careers.
