Sinead O’Connor was found in her £3,000-a-month south-east London penthouse apartment which the star had excitedly shown to fans when she moved in just weeks before her death.

Sinead O’Connor had filmed the apartment and revealed her plans to ‘write new tunes’ – as she hinted at a forthcoming album and a world tour.

Just after 11 a.m. yesterday, police were summoned to a house in south London between Herne Hill and Brixton. At the scene, the celebrity was pronounced dead. The cause of her death is not being investigated.

No medical cause has been given for the death and an autopsy will be conducted with results taking ‘several weeks’, London Inner South Coroner’s Court has said this afternoon.

In a video taken on 9 July in her new residence, Sinead had stated on social media that she had returned to London and was “very happy to be home”.

The singer recorded the social media video to demonstrate that it was her Twitter account and to indicate that she was unpacking. She apologised for the disarray and laughed, calling the contemporary flat a “s***hole” because her possessions were all over the surfaces.

However, there were also jokes about applying Vaseline to her face to care for her skin and ‘beautiful’ sun flowers that her friend had purchased as a welcoming gift were displayed prominently in the contemporary kitchen.

Beginning in July, the singer moved in. According to the owners, this large apartment has top-notch appliances, modern finishes, and a private balcony with stunning views.

She also announced that she would be writing new songs in a Twitter video while displaying her black Martin Johnny Cash electric acoustic guitar on the wall. She made a suggestion that she will put out a new album “next year” and “hopefully” start touring once more, with shows in Ireland, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand being planned for 2024 and 2025, respectively.
