Rappers GloRilla and Finesse2tymes were on stage at the Main Street Armory when, according to Rochester Police Department information provided to The Associated Press, audience members believed they heard gunshots inside the building at around 11 p.m.

Rochester Police Lt. Nicholas Adams said that investigators discovered “no evidence to substantiate a shooting having occurred” inside the concert.

Who is rapper GloRilla?

Gloria Hallelujah Woods, also known as GloRilla, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee who was born on July 28, 1999. After collaborating with Hitkidd on the 2022 single “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” which was nominated for Best Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, she gained notoriety. On the Billboard Top 100, her song “Tomorrow 2″—featuring Cardi B—made it to the top ten. A version of her song “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” with Latto and JT from City Girls was released.

She began singing when she was 16 years old.  She received a diploma from Martin Luther King College.

Woods wanted to be a singer when she was younger because she sang in her church chorus growing up, but after losing her voice, she changed her mind and started rapping.

She also gave the stage moniker “Big Glo” some thought. Her stage name was created with assistance from her relative. On her mother’s side, she is the eighth of ten children to be born.

In 2019 and 2020, respectively, Woods issued her mixtape albums Most Likely Up Next and P Status.

With the April 2022 release of “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” which he co-wrote with producer Hitkidd, Woods gained more notoriety and recognition. The music gained popularity, inspiring the #FNFChallenge on TikTok. In September 2022, a remix of the single with Latto and JT was released, along with a notice that a remix with Saweetie would follow. The single earned Woods two nominations for the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards, where she also gave a performance in October of that year. The song “Just Say That” by Woods and Duke Deuce was published in June 2022.

“Crunk and dominant” is how GloRilla characterises her music. Chief Keef was an inspiration to Woods. Woods returned to her secondary school Martin Luther King College Prep in Memphis, Tennessee, in September 2022 to make a $25,000 donation.
