Ireland, the daughter of Hollywood actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, has announced on Instagram that she and her partner, RAC (Andre Allen Anjos) are about to become parents.
Baldwin shared a picture of a sonogram on social media, captioning it, “Happy New Year”. Check out her post right here:
Who is Ireland Baldwin?
Ireland Baldwin was born on October 23, 1995 to Hollywood stars Kim Bassinger and Alec Baldwin. Other well-known family members of this Los Angeles-born model include Hailie Bieber (cousin), and actors Stephen, Daniel, and William Baldwin (niece). Her parents divorced in 2002 when Baldwin was five years old.
Baldwin’s name first made it to the headlines in 2007 when she was 11 years old, after her father left her a voicemail saying that she was “a rude, thoughtless little pig”.
Her father later apologised for his behaviour towards his daughter on his website, saying that it was “parental alienation for many years” that had made him speak in this manner with his daughter.
The would-be mother began her professional career in 2013 when she signed with IMG Models. Her first notable assignment was as a swimsuit model for New York Post’s swimwear editorial.
In the same year, the then-18-year-old became Vanity Fair’s June 2013 It Girl. She also made her debut as an actress in this year when she starred in the movie Grudge Match as a younger version of her mother’s character.
Baldwin enrolled herself in the New York Film Academy in 2014 and as a media correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, attended the 86th Academy Awards.
She posed in the nude for PETA’s 2018 campaign, “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur”.
The 27-year-old has been in relationships with Angel Haze and Corey Harper before dating RAC. She revealed in 2019 that she had been sexually assaulted. Baldwin cited the resultant trauma as the reason behind her taking to drugs.
