Rapper Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade Scott got engaged to her long-time boyfriend Evan McClintock on Sunday. The 27-year-old announced her recent engagement by sharing photos from McClintock’s proposal on social media. Eminem shares Hailie with his ex-wife Kim Ann Scott.
Who is Kim Ann Scott?
Kim Scott was born on January 9, 1975, in Warren, Michigan. She met Eminem at a house party during high school. She was 13 at the time while Eminem was 15. After dating for several years, the two tied the knot in 1999 before filing for divorce the following year. They, however, reconciled the tied the knot again in 2006. However, their marriage lasted only three months and the rapper filed for divorce in April of the same year.
Eminem and Kim welcomed Hailie on December 25, 1999. Hailie is now a famous social media influencer with millions of followers on Instagram.
Kim has struggled with depression. She was involved in a one-car crash in Macomb County in 2015. She appeared on the Mojo In The Morning show in May of the following year and revealed that it was actually a suicide attempt.
“I sat at the end of the road. I knew no one else, but myself would get hurt. Yes, I drank. I took pills, and I hit the gas and aimed for the pole,” she said.
She once again attempted suicide in July 2021 by cutting herself. She was hospitalised for both medical and psychological evaluation.
