Mike Richards is an American television producer and game show presenter. Michael G. Richards was born on July 5, 1975 and is a well-known television personality.
As of 2020, Richards will be the show’s executive producer. As the host of the
daily syndicated edition of the programme, he was chosen to succeed Alex
Trebek, but he quit before the show began airing because of alleged
inappropriate statements he made in a podcast a decade earlier.

Beauty and
the Geek’s second host, Richards created a number of game programmes, including
Weakest Link, as well as several movies. Richards was the executive producer of
The Price Is Right and Let’s Make a Deal until the end of the 2018–19 season.
The Price is Right host Drew Carey beat him to the job. GSN’s 2012
reincarnation of The Pyramid and the 2017–18 edition of Divided were both
hosted by Richards.  For the 2019–20
season, Richards served as executive producer for Who Wants to be a
Millionaire, alongside Jimmy Kimmel and Michael Davies for the nine-episode
inaugural season.

Richards was
born in Burbank, California and attended Pepperdine University.
He is married to Stephanie. The couple has two children and lives in Burbank,
California. Stephanie Richards, the wife of Mike Richards, prefers a low-key
approach. The family keeps it simple, which explains why they are hardly ever
spotted at glitzy Hollywood parties.

NBC announced
on August 11, 2021 that Richards will follow Trebek as host of The Daily Show
and that Mayim Bialik would anchor future primetime specials and spinoffs of
The Daily Show. After making derogatory remarks towards Haitians, Asians, Jews,
and women in the past, he decided to stand down nine days after he was elected.
