Oksana Grigorieva, a Russian singer-songwriter, in 2010 accused actor Mel Gibson of domestic violence. Rapper Chris Brown, in his Instagram rant, took names of celebrities who have been accused of abuse. This was after social media users bashed Chloe Bailey for collaborating with him despite his past with singer Rihanna.
Brown, an R&B artist, reminded his followers that Ozzy Osbourne, Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson have been accused of being violent with women.
Who is Oksana Grigorieva?
Oksana Petrovna Grigorieva is a Russian pianist, singer, and songwriter. She first gained international notability with her song Un dia llegara in 2006. Her first album Beautiful Heartache took her fame to a higher level, as it gained commercial success and critical acclaim for her. Her second album Love To Dance was released in 2013.
Oksana, full name Oksana Petrovna Chernuha, was born on February 23, 1970, in Saransk, Mordovia, in Russia. Her parents Petr Chernukha and Ludmila Grigorieva-Chernukha are both music professors. Her sister Natalie is 12 years younger than her. Grigorieva’s grandparents were honored for their bravery in World War II against the Nazis.

She studied piano at a local school of music and also attended the Kazan Conservatory in Russia. She dropped out of her studies after three years. Later, she moved to England where she continued learning piano at the Royal College of Music and Trinity College in London.
In 1989, Grigorieva was married for three months to Russian lawyer Igor Baranov. She married Nicholas Rowland in 1992. She had a romantic relationship with James Bond actor Timothy Dalton. Grigorieva and Dalton married and had a son together in 1997 named Alexander. Their relationship ended in 2003.
In 2007, she was romantically involved with actor Mel Gibson. Their daughter Lucia was born on October 30, 2009. The couple separated in 2010. In June 2010, the singer obtained a restraining order against Gibson, after saying he had physically assaulted her.
The album Beautiful Heartache included 11 tracks and a cover of the Russian song Dark Eyes. She wrote all the songs, except the song Say My Name, which was co-written with Mel Gibson.

In 2012, it was announced that Oksana was all set to venture into hip-hop and dance music after being inspired by the likes of Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Crissie Hyde, Peter Gabriel, and Kate Bush.
