Treat Williams, the star of Everwood and Hair, was killed in a motorbike accident. He was 71.

Williams leaves behind an incredible film legacy as well as a wife and two kids.

Who is Pam Van Sant

Pam Van Sant was a producer and actor best known for her work on the 1995 television drama American Masters.

She had been wed to Treat since 1988 and has two children with him; they led a quiet life together in their $1 million Vermont house.

Pam was a fan of Treat’s work and frequently appeared in public alongside him in order to promote it.

She would go to film and television premieres, occasionally bringing their children with her.

Before his untimely death, Treat frequently shared images of his wife on social media, and one of his final tweets was a Mother’s Day tribute to her.

‘Happy Mother’s Day, Pam,’ wrote Treat. You raised two exceptional people. What a wonderful mother you are.

Just hours after his death, the loving wife issued a statement with her children.

‘It is with great sadness that we report that our beloved Treat Williams has passed away tonight in Dorset, Vermont after a fatal motorcycle accident.

‘As you can imagine we are shocked and greatly bereaved at this time. Treat was full of love for his family, for his life and for his craft, and was truly at the top of his game in all of it.

‘We are beyond devastated and ask that you respect our privacy as we deal with our grief. To all his fans, please know that Treat appreciated all of you and please continue to keep him in your hearts and prayers,’ the statement was signed ‘The Williams Family.’
