The Isley Brothers’ founding member, Rudolph Isley, died at the age of 84, according to his family. The ensemble, whose musical career lasted more than six decades, rose to popularity with hits like Twist and Shout and Summer Breeze.

“Words cannot express the depth of my emotions and the profound love I hold for my brother,” said Ronald Isley in a statement. Although his departure will be felt by our family, I take comfort in the knowledge that he has found peace in a better dimension.”

Alongside his brothers Ronald and O’Kelly, Isley began his musical career in the church choir.

The trio, still in their teens, became well-known in the 1950s because of their famous song “Shout,” which was written as a religious song but ended up being used in the toga party sequence in the movie “Animal House.”

The Isley Brothers released the well-known song “Twist And Shout” towards the beginning of the 1960s. Because of its immense success, The Beatles used it as the last track on their debut album.

Who is Elaine Jasper? 

Elaine Jasper Isley is the spouse of Rudolph Isley. They have been together for over 65 years after exchanging vows in 1958. Elizabeth, Valerie, Ernie, and Marvin are the four children they are fortunate to have together.

Elaine has consistently supported her husband during their marriage, despite her tendency to keep a low profile and less time in the spotlight than her spouse. She has also contributed backing vocals and co-written songs to Rudolph’s musical pursuits.

Rudolph revealed his intense love for Elaine in a 2017 interview, saying, “She is my everything.” She is the mainstay of my existence.”
