Samantha Akkineni on Saturday confirmed she is separating with her husband Naga Chaitanya. The 34-year-old actor said the decision comes as the the couple looks to pursue their “own paths”.
“After much deliberation and thought, Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths,” Samantha said in a note on Instagram.

“We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us.”
Akkineni is not just known for her great acting skills but also her quintessential fashion sense, a glimpse of which she keeps on sharing on social media. Her post has a huge fan base across the nation.
The actor has been in the film industry for 11 years now and is known for experimenting with roles. She started her film career with Gautham Menon’s ‘Ye Maaye Chesave’ in 2010 and in the same year she made a cameo appearance in the Tamil movie ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’. ‘U Turn’, ‘Irumbu Thirai’ and ‘Janatha Garage’ are some of her hit films.

Samantha was featured in the big budget Telugu film, ‘Dookudu’ alongside Mahesh Babu, which became one of the most successful Telugu films of all time. She also subsequently made guest appearances in two of Gautham Menon’s films, first in the psychological thriller film, ‘Nadunisi Naaygal’ as a mental asylum inmate and then repeated her role from Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa in the Hindi version of the film, Ekk ‘Deewana Tha’.
The actor is married to Chay Akkineni who is her first co-star from her debut film ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’. The couple tied the knot in 2017 and are totally in love. Samantha is also fascinated with tattoo art and has over three tattoos inked on her body and in some or the other way they have a ‘Chay’ connection.

She is also one of the best-dressed celebrities down south and her confidence reflects in whatever she wears. From traditional six yards to powerful pantsuits, she nails every look with aplomb.
