West, in the legal documents, says that his deal with John is not enforceable as he signed it without any help from a lawyer. The rapper adds that he was “sleep-deprived, stressed, anxious, and under duress”, TMZ reported.

Who is Thomas St. John?

As per the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Kanye West met Thomas St. John around March 2022. The two had a deal placing him on a $300k monthly retainer.

West says that the two met when he was facing criticism on social media due to his many meltdowns during the Kim K divorce proceedings. St John, as per the documents, said he could bring the rapper’s business back on track.

Ye admitted signing a document in May 2022. However, he added that there was no lawyer present.

The two parties held their ends of the deal for about three months. St John sued Kanye West for $5.4 million. Now the musician is asking a judge to bin the contract and force his former partner to pay back the $900 thousand he received.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were married for six years. The former filed for a divorce on February 19, 2021.

During a June, 2021 episode of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’, Kim opened up about their split. Her sister Khloé Kardashian revealed: “Kim has been struggling privately behind camera about her relationship and it’s tough because Kim is clearly redirecting so much of her frustration and sadness and anger. And, you know, sometimes you just take things out on something that has nothing to do with what you’re going through.”
