The US Army is cutting ties with actor Jonathan Majors for the time being, after the “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” star was arrested in connection to a domestic dispute on Saturday.

“The U.S. Army is aware of the arrest of Jonathan Majors and we are deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest,” said Laura DeFrancisco, spokesperson for the Army Enterprise Marketing Office to the Army Times.

Majors narrates and appears on-screen during an advertisement from the “Be All You Can Be” campaign, airing during the NCAA men’s college basketball tournament or March Madness.

“While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete,” DeFrancisco said.

The 33-year-old was briefly taken into custody. Representatives for Majors denied that the actor had done anything wrong.

The New York Police Department said Majors was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman on Saturday. The Police said they were called around 11:14 local time after receiving a 911 call from an apartment in Manhatten’s Chelsea district. The woman suffered minor neck and head injuries and was admitted to the hospital.

“The victim informed police she was assaulted,” an NYPD DCPI spokesperson said. “The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”

According to Majors’ spokesperson, he was not charged with strangulation. He was charged with two counts of assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, and harassment in the second degree. They said that each of the charges are “all misdemeanors or less.”

Majors’ lawyer said the actor was completely innocent and alleged the star was the victim of the altercation involving a woman known to him.

Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ criminal defense lawyer said that she expected the charges to be dropped, reported Fox News.
